Seven days Special NSS Camp
Day 1
The first day of the NSS Special Camp was successfully conducted on 05th January 2026 at Golwadi Village by the NSS Unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy. The camp was inaugurated by Hon. Ramesh Kanse Sir, Sarpanch of Golwadi Village, in the presence of respected faculty members and dignitaries. More than 100 students actively participated in the programme, which began with the NSS song and an inaugural ceremony. The speakers motivated students to serve society with discipline and dedication. After the inauguration, NSS volunteers conducted a village survey to collect data related to health, sanitation, education, and basic facilities for planning community development activities. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a successful beginning to the seven-day camp focused on rural development and social responsibility.
Day 2
On 6th January 2026, the second day of the NSS Special Camp at Golwadi Village focused on cleanliness, health awareness, and community engagement. Over 100 NSS volunteers participated in a village cleaning drive, working in small groups to clean streets and public areas and promote proper waste disposal. Volunteers also conducted awareness sessions on hygiene and sanitation while health officials and NSS coordinators visited households to assess water and health conditions. Distinguished guests guided students on upcoming activities and appreciated their efforts. The day strengthened students’ understanding of rural needs and concluded with reflection and planning for future camp activities.
Day 3
The NSS Unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized a Digital Safety and Mobile Fraud Awareness Programme at Golwadi Village and Z.P. School under the guidance of Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi and faculty members. Around 10–12 NSS volunteers participated, presenting an informative skit led by Second Year student Atin Pande on common digital frauds such as fake calls, phishing, OTP scams, and misuse of personal data. Third Year student Sakshi also delivered an awareness speech on responsible mobile usage and protection of personal and financial information. The programme received active participation from villagers and students and successfully promoted digital safety awareness while enhancing the volunteers’ leadership and communication skills.
Day 4
The NSS Unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized a Blood Donation Camp on 9 January 2026 in collaboration with Dattaji Bhale Blood Bank, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, to promote community health and social responsibility. Prior to the camp, students visited the blood bank to understand the importance, procedures, and safety aspects of blood donation, which motivated them to participate confidently. On the day of the camp, donors underwent proper medical screening, and a total of 40 students and staff members voluntarily donated blood under strict safety protocols. NSS volunteers assisted in coordination and management, and donors were awarded certificates and provided blood test reports, making the programme a successful initiative towards community welfare and student development.
Day 5
The NSS Unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized a Blood Donation Camp on 9 January 2026 in collaboration with Dattaji Bhale Blood Bank, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, to promote health awareness and social responsibility. Prior to the camp, students visited the blood bank to learn about the importance, procedures, eligibility criteria, and safety measures of blood donation, which encouraged confident participation. On the day of the camp, donors underwent proper medical screening, and 40 students and staff members voluntarily donated blood under strict safety protocols. NSS volunteers assisted in coordination and management, and donors received certificates and blood test reports. The programme reflected the institute’s commitment to community welfare and holistic student development through NSS activities.
Day 6
As part of its extension and community outreach activities, the NSS Unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized a Sugar and Cholesterol Testing Programme at Golwadi Village in collaboration with Apollo Diagnostic Centre to promote health awareness and early detection of lifestyle-related diseases. Trained medical staff conducted blood sample collection following proper safety protocols, and 19 participants, including students and staff, voluntarily underwent testing. Participants were guided about normal values, risk factors, and preventive healthcare measures. NSS volunteers assisted in coordination and smooth execution of the camp, making the programme a meaningful initiative that strengthened awareness about preventive health and reflected the institute’s commitment to community welfare.
Day 7
A Women Safety and Social Awareness Programme was organized by Yash Institute of Pharmacy on 12th January 2026 at 11:30 AM at Golwadi Village to create awareness about women safety, legal rights, emergency response systems, and social responsibility among students and villagers. The session was conducted by the Damini Pathak Team, including Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Lata Jadhav and female police constables Monika Dive, Ayodhya Daud, and Sakshi Chande, who explained women protection laws, emergency helpline numbers, cyber safety, and the importance of reporting incidents without fear. They also provided practical guidance on handling unsafe situations and responsible behavior in public and online spaces. Additionally, Mr. Rajendra Baburao Patil delivered an awareness talk on addiction, highlighting the harmful effects of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs on health, education, and society, and encouraged youth to stay away from substance abuse. The programme witnessed active participation from students, villagers, and staff members and successfully promoted awareness about women safety, cyber precautions, and addiction prevention, reflecting the institute’s commitment to community development and social responsibility.
"Strength in Unity: The Legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel"
The NSS Unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized a three-day celebration titled “Strength in Unity: The Legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel” from 31st October to 15th November 2025 to commemorate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. The event featured a Race for Unity and Oath Ceremony, a Cleaning Drive, and a Vande Mataram song performance, all aimed at fostering national integrity, cleanliness, and patriotism among students. The celebration, graced by Mrs. Dipali Kulkarni and faculty members, inspired participants to embrace the spirit of togetherness, social responsibility, and environmental awareness. Overall, the program successfully instilled values of unity, discipline, and love for the nation within the campus community.
"A Road Safety Awareness Program on 30th September 2025"
The NSS Cell of Yash Institute of Pharmacy, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar organized a Road Safety Awareness Program on 30th September 2025 to promote discipline and responsibility among students. The event featured Mrs. Pooja Kuche (RTO Officer) and Mr. Nitin Rathod (Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector) as chief guests, who delivered insightful talks on traffic rules, safe driving, and accident prevention. The session was interactive, with active student participation and valuable inputs from the dignitaries and faculty. Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi encouraged students to follow and spread road safety practices. The program successfully enhanced students’ awareness of road safety, fostering responsible behavior and community awareness beyond the campus.
"Tree Plantation Drive on 30th September 2025"
The NSS Cell of Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized a “Tree Plantation Drive”on 30th September 2025 at Tisgaon Phata, Cantonment, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, in collaboration with Prayas Foundation and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University NSS Unit. As part of the *Harit Maharashtra, Samruddha Maharashtra – Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam* campaign, over 5,000 trees were planted to promote greenery, biodiversity, and environmental awareness. Dr. Vinod Udawant motivated the students with his insightful address on the importance of tree plantation in combating pollution and climate change. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff, fostering teamwork, ecological responsibility, and a commitment to sustainable development.
"A Cleaning Drive at Karnapura on 27th September 2025"
The NSS Unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar conducted a Cleaning Drive at Karnapura on 27th September 2025 to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and community responsibility under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The event, attended by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi, Dr. Vinod Udawant, and Ms. Laveena Makhija, saw enthusiastic participation from students and staff. Principal Sir emphasized the importance of individual responsibility in maintaining cleanliness, while student Sakshi Chungade delivered an awareness speech on the harmful effects of excessive mobile usage. Supported by Seva Bharati – Devgiri Prant, the drive effectively raised awareness among students and locals, fostering a spirit of social responsibility and commitment to a cleaner, healthier community.
"Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam – Tree Plantation & Awareness Competition” on 25th September 2025 under the Harit Maharashtra, Samruddha Maharashtra"
The Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized an NSS activity titled *“Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam – Tree Plantation & Awareness Competition”* on 25th September 2025 under the *Harit Maharashtra, Samruddha Maharashtra* campaign to promote environmental awareness and responsibility among youth. The event, attended by faculty and 100 students, featured an inaugural ceremony with esteemed guests, followed by a tree plantation drive and awareness competition. Students planted and adopted saplings of medicinal, fruit-bearing, and shade-giving species while learning about ecological balance and sustainability. The competition showcased student presentations evaluated by judges, and top performers received prizes and certificates. The activity successfully enhanced environmental consciousness, encouraged active student participation, and inspired long-term commitment to nature conservation.
"My Bharat Outreach Program on 22nd August 2025"
The NSS Cell of Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized the *My Bharat Outreach Program* on August 22, 2025, to raise awareness about the My Bharat Portal and encourage digital engagement among students. Conducted by NSS Incharge Ms. Laveena V. Makhija and Program Officer Dr. Vinod Udawant, the session featured a digital banner and a live video demonstration explaining the portal’s registration process and benefits. The program emphasized youth participation in nation-building and the use of technology for social development. It successfully enhanced students’ understanding of digital learning platforms, teamwork, and social responsibility, motivating them to actively engage in community service initiatives.
"Blood Donation Camp on 16th September 2025"
The NSS Unit of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University organized a Blood Donation Camp on 16th September 2025 at Government Science College, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, to promote awareness about the importance of blood donation. The event was inaugurated in the presence of dignitaries and featured an inspiring address by Dr. Sominath Khade, NSS Director, who emphasized the life-saving impact of voluntary blood donation. Students and staff actively participated, showcasing a strong sense of social responsibility. The program concluded with certificate distribution to donors and volunteers, motivating them for future participation. The camp fostered humanitarian values, strengthened community service culture, and enhanced the university’s commitment to social welfare.
"Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan and No Tobacco Pledge"
The “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan” and “No Tobacco Pledge” programs were organized by the “NSS Unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar”, to promote patriotism and healthy living among students and staff. The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, held from “13th to 15th August 2025”, celebrated the spirit of independence through flag hoisting, cultural programs, rallies, and awareness sessions, fostering respect for the national flag and unity among participants. On “15th August 2025”, following the Independence Day celebrations, the No Tobacco Pledge was conducted to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and encourage a tobacco-free lifestyle. Both initiatives witnessed enthusiastic participation, strengthened civic responsibility, and reflected the institute’s commitment to national pride, health awareness, and social well-being.
"HIV Awareness Programme on 14th August 2025"
The Red Ribbon Club Establishment and HIV Awareness Programme was organized on 14th August 2025 at Yash Institute of Pharmacy, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, under the NSS Cell. The event aimed to educate students about HIV/AIDS prevention, reduce stigma, and promote safe health practices. The program featured an inaugural ceremony attended by Principal Dr. S.S. Angadi, Chief Guest Dr. Balaji Bamanpalle, faculty, and students. The event included speeches, awareness sessions, and the formal launch of the Red Ribbon Club, marked by the symbolic distribution of red ribbons. Dr. Bamanpalle delivered an informative talk on HIV/AIDS, followed by an interactive session and an awareness pledge by participants. The program successfully fostered awareness and encouraged youth engagement in health and social responsibility initiatives.
"The Bharat Outreach Program on 13th August 2025"
The Bharat Outreach Program, organized by the NSS Unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy on 13th August 2025, aimed to promote digital learning, community engagement, and social responsibility among students. Conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vinod Udawant and Ms. Laveena Makhija, the event included orientation sessions, interactive presentations, computer-based demonstrations, and a video representation of the “My Bharat Portal” with a digital explanation highlighting its purpose and benefits. Students actively participated in group discussions and practical sessions focused on using technology for social welfare. With B.pharmacy students and 2 faculty members involved, the program successfully enhanced digital literacy, teamwork, and awareness of youth’s role in nation-building, motivating participants to contribute meaningfully to community and social development.
"International Youth Day, the NSS Unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized a Boys’ Cricket Match on 12th August 2025"
On the occasion of International Youth Day, the NSS Unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized a Boy’s Cricket Match on 12th August 2025 to promote sportsmanship and active participation in physical activities among students. Held under the leadership of Ms. Laveena V. Makhija and attended by Dr. Vinod Udawant, the event saw enthusiastic participation from 25 students and one faculty member. The match, played between Second and Third Year teams—with the Third Year team winning—served as a platform to develop leadership, teamwork, and unity, while also subtly promoting environmental awareness in the Golwadi area. The activity successfully nurtured sporting talent and community spirit within the campus.
