An Anti-Ragging Committee is a group of people appointed by a college or university to prevent and address the issue of ragging (a form of bullying and hazing) within the institution. The members of the committee may include representatives from the administration, faculty, students, and local law enforcement. The role of the committee is to create awareness about the ill-effects of ragging, enforce strict measures to prevent it, and take swift action against those who engage in it.
