NSS Events 2017 – 2018

NSS Ganesh Visarjan event report :

As part of an innovative step to solve traffic woes during Ganpati immersion, the Waluj police has teamed up with college students of NSS Unit, Yash Institute of Pharmacy to manage the congestion. The  event was started at Bajaj nagar area on 6th September 2017, Reflective jackets, whistles and shirts distributed to the volunteers to become ‘police mitras’ and help manage traffic snarls.

Before starting the event the traffic department trained the volunteers about the traffic rules and how to control the traffic smoothly. PI of waluj MIDC police station Mr. Dyaneshwar Sabale was present at the event and extended his support to the initiative and said “Traffic is everyone’s concern. Solving it, is a community effort. It will help the entire society become more aware of traffic concerns. It makes them more disciplined and responsible,”

Swchata Abhiyan at Karnapura yatra (27/09/2017) :

NSS unit of Yash institute of pharmacy organized 1 day Swchata Abhiyan at Karnapura yatra dated 27/09/2017. Divisional commissioner Dr. Purushottam Bhapkar announce swachata week during the Navratri period. With respect to this event our NSS unit participate in this event.

On this occasion, volunteers of NSS along with NSS coordinator Mr. M. P. Bhosale and Mr. A. S. Joshi, Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi arrived at 06:00 am at Karnapura yatra premises. Principal Sir distributed cap, mask, and hand gloves to the NSS volunteers for personal safety. In this event all the members cleaned the yatra premises and also aware the people about cleanliness.

Dr. S.S. Angadi motivate the volunteers about the cleanliness and its importance. The event was end at 10:00am.

World Pharmacist day celebration : 

25 September marks the annual World Pharmacists Day. International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) encourages pharmacists to use this day to organise activities that promote and advocate for the role of the pharmacist in improving health in every corner of the world.

On this day, 25th september 2017 we had arranged formulation competition ” preparation of formulation of Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic s and Food Products” for students of B. Pharmacy. The event was honored by presence of   Dr. R. P. Marathe, Associate professor, Government College of pharmacy, Aurangabad Shri. P. K Firke General Manager, Taiyo Lucid Pvt. Ltd and Shri Abhay Gite Deputy Commissioner of labour, marathwada region. The students participated in formulation competition and winners of the event were 1st Pooja Ghongade and group & 2nd position received by Snehal Joshi and Pratiksha Jadhav of second year B. Pharmacy.

World Women’s Day celebration :

 In our institute, World womens day was celebrated on 8th march 2018.  The guest of Honor for this event was Veer patani Archana More and Veer Patni Bhagyashri wagh.  Both the guest was felicitated by Dr. Angadi Sir, Principal Yash Institute of Pharmacy and the ladies faculty members were also felicitated by the veer patani.

 

Republic day celebration :

On 26th Jan 2018, our institute celebrated republic day, the event was honored by the presence of Col. Yashwant Misal, Indian army officer, Aurangabad and Professor Dr. M. P. Mahajan, SKNCOP, Pune. The guest hoisted the flag waving ceremony and followed by this, cultural events were conducted. The students participated in various cultural events such as singing patriotic song and speech competition.

Students visit to Sewage Treatment Plant & Dense forest and Tree Plantation :

Student visited to the Sewage Treatment Plant at Grind Master Company as part of extension activity. The objective of the visit was aware the students about sewage water treatment by natural way. CARPE run this plant as pilot plant. This plant clean the sewage obtained from company. For the treatment various types of plants are used. These plants purify the dirty water by absorbing the dirty water. Students were impressed by this plant. After visit the students and member of the NGO planted various regional plants at the site. These plantation was for making dense forest. Students were enjoyed the visit very much.

NSS Special camp, Golwadi, Aurangabad (21/02/2018) :

A workshop was arranged on topic, “Mahamitra” an initiative taken by the government of Maharashtra (DGIPR), Mumbai by Mr. Yogesh Joshi. The objective of this workshop was, to aware the people about the responsibility of social media. The speaker of this program introduce the Mahamitra App and also instruct the students how to use this app and take partition in compititation organized by government of Maharashtra. 50 NSS volunteers were installed this app and participated in the competition. 

Hemoglobin detection camp was organized in next session by the NSS volunteers for the people of Golwadi. The students of final year B. Pharmacy detect the Hb count of peoples by Sahali’s method for Hb detection and advised the people who had less Hb count. The volunteers also guide the people about the routine diet and health tips. From Golwadi, 32 peoples were present for the Hb detection, among them 11male and 21 female citizen detect their Hb count. 50 NSS volunteers were present for this event. Mr. Mahesh Bhosale and Mr. Abhay Joshi took efforts for this event.

NSS unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized free Dental Checkup camp at Golwadi (22/02/2018) :

An 8-day special camp has been organized at Golwadi by NSS unit of Yash Institute of Pharmacy. Various social programs have been organized in the camp during 20/02/2018 to 27/02/2018. On this occasion, dated 22/02/2018 free dental camp were conducted in the joint work of NSS and Ganpati Dental Hospital in Golwadi village. Camp was started at 10 am and ended at 5 pm. In this 140 citizen were  checked by Dental expert Dr. Aniket Badve, Dr. Ganesh Dhawale, after inspection of the people of the village and followed him, provided free medicines.

The citizens of this village registered the event with a spontaneous participation. In this work Suraj Ghanavat, Sandhya Ghuge, Ravi Sasane and Shoaib have made important contributions in this work. Principal Dr. Angadi expressed his gratitude to the volunteers of National Service Scheme of Yash Institute of Pharmacy and Dr. Vaishnav, Dr.Shelke, Program Officer Mr. Mahesh Bhosale, Mr. Abhay Joshi, Shri. Goltakke and NSS volunteers took special efforts for this event.

NSS Special camp, Golwadi, Aurangabad (25/02/2018) :

On 25/02/2018, Yash Institute of Pharmacy successfully completed the event of Tree Plantation under the National Service Scheme at Golwadi tekadi. Trees are the foremost source for producing the oxygen in environment, they helps to reduce the level of CO. As we all know that the whole world is facing the problem of global warming and to recover from such problem planting the trees is become one of the most important aspects today.

The event was began with the welcoming of guest Principal Dr. S.S.Angadi Sir, At that time Principal advice to volunteers to think differently for the Society to make positive changes and to make improvement.

Principal Dr. S.S.Angadi Sir orients the NSS volunteers by notifying the importance of NSS for them as well as society. He said that “In society all the human beings are comprise equal importance, no matter with the Men or Women.” He also said that the dedication is must to accomplish the goals and dreams in life and also address the volunteers and passed a message of kindness & being helpful to the needy people.

After the inspirational words of Principal we all move towards the place where tree plantation took place. A first tree plant by Principal Dr. S.S.Angadi Sir. Mr. Abhay Joshi and Mr. Mahesh Bhosale also plant a tree. Total tree planted by all others including teachers, NSS volunteers was more than 150 on the day.

All were happy and experience proud after the tree plantation event was finished, because it really feels great to do positive for the nature.
