The Competitive Examination and Career Guidance Cell at Yash Institute
of Pharmacy, Aurangabad, successfully hosted a workshop on 18th October 2024. The
event, titled “Unlocking the GATE: A Pathway to Pharmacy Excellence,”
was aimed at guiding third and final-year students in their GATE exam
preparation. Guest speaker Dr. Rohit B. Chavhan, a GATE(XL) Qualified Rotaract
District Representative, shared insights on the exam’s structure, its
significance for higher education and career opportunities, and provided
practical study strategies. The session also included a welcome by the
principal, Dr. Angadi. The workshop was well-received, and attendees expressed
appreciation for the valuable guidance provided. The event concluded with a
vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organizers, speaker, and
participants.
From Basics to Brilliance: Essential Strategies,
Syllabus Insights, and Early Preparation Tips about GPAT” on 12th
September 2024
On 12th September 2024, Yash Institute of Pharmacy
organized a seminar titled “From Basics to Brilliance: Essential
Strategies, Syllabus Insights, and Early Preparation Tips about GPAT”, led
by the Competitive Examination and Career Guidance Cell. The event saw over 100
students and 15 faculty members in attendance. The seminar commenced with a
lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a session from Dr. Subur W. Khan, Associate
Professor at Y.B. Chavan College of Pharmacy. With 18 years of experience, Dr.
Khan shared insights on GPAT preparation, including a syllabus breakdown,
strategic study techniques, and the importance of early preparation. The
post-lunch session provided practical tips on tackling the GPAT exam, from
mastering basics to refining study strategies. The event concluded with a vote
of thanks and the National Anthem, leaving participants motivated and confident
in their GPAT journey.

Career Opportunities in Pharma Profession On 21st March 2024
Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized a session titled “Career Opportunities in Pharma Profession” for third and final-year students, led by the Competitive Examination Guidance Cell. The session featured guest speaker Mr. Dnyaneshwar M. Patil, Senior Pharmacy Officer at ESIC Hospital, Chatrapati Sambhajinagar, Ministry of Labor & Employment, Govt. of India. Mr. Patil discussed the diverse career opportunities available in the government healthcare sector, emphasizing the role of pharmacists in various government positions. He also provided valuable guidance on competitive exams such as MPSC, UPSC, and GPAT, along with strategies for tackling exam questions and managing time. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students engaged with the speaker and participated in a mock test for government examinations. The event helped students set realistic career goals and understand the scope of pharmacy in the public sector, leaving them better prepared for future opportunities.

Organized to inspire students about entrepreneurship and civil services, the session offered valuable insights into building a successful career path. Dr. Lahane shared his extensive knowledge and experience, emphasizing the importance of entrepreneurship in shaping the future and providing an in-depth overview of the IAS examination process. The event was a great success, motivating students to explore diverse career opportunities and equipping them with the guidance needed to pursue their professional goals with confidence.

speaker Prof. Peeyush Jaiswal. Prof. Jaiswal, an expert in pharmaceutical
education and competitive exams, delivered a comprehensive session that covered
essential career pathways for pharmacy students, with a special focus on GPAT
exam strategies. He emphasized the importance of early preparation, efficient
study techniques, and time management skills. Additionally, the seminar
highlighted the significance of developing soft skills for career advancement,
alongside guidance on other competitive exams like NIPER, GATE, and government
job opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector. The session was well-received,
providing students with actionable insights and motivating them to excel both
academically and professionally in the dynamic field of pharmacy.

October 2023, Yash Institute of Pharmacy hosted an engaging session titled “Navigating the Path to Success: Medical Coding Career
Choices,” with Mr. Shubham Rathod as the guest speaker. The
event aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the
growing field of medical coding and its career opportunities. Mr. Rathod, an
experienced professional in the domain, offered valuable insights into the
skills required, industry demands, and potential career pathways in medical
coding. His practical advice and expertise gave students a clear roadmap to
exploring this rewarding profession, sparking interest and inspiration among
the attendees.
Career Guidance Program on “Overseas Education:
GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, PTE and IELTS” on 06/10/2023

Institute of Pharmacy’s Competitive Examination Guidance Cell organized a
seminar on “Overseas Education: GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, PTE and IELTS”
in collaboration with Bittrack Consultant Pvt. Ltd. The seminar, attended by
199 students from all years of B. Pharmacy, aimed to create awareness about
foreign examinations and career opportunities abroad. Guest speakers Mrs.
Helena Jain, Mrs. Anuja Dakliya, and Mrs. Neha Bhatt from Bittrack Consultant
Pvt. Ltd. provided detailed guidance on exam patterns, syllabus, and
preparation strategies. They also addressed students’ queries and offered
insights into setting realistic goals for studying abroad. The seminar helped
students gain clarity on their career choices, motivating them to explore
overseas education opportunities.
GPAT Test Series 2024 and GPAT Guidance Session On 29th August 2023

Institute of Pharmacy organized a “GPAT Test Series 2024” and “GPAT Guidance Session” under the Competitive Examination
Guidance Cell for second, third, and final-year students. The session, hosted
by third-year student Sachin Wagh and second-year student Bhakti Pagare,
featured alumni Ms. Pooja Karpe and Ms. Tanaya Jain as the guest speaker. Ms.
Karpe provided valuable insights into
the GPAT exam, covering its scope, exam pattern, syllabus, and effective
preparation strategies. The event also introduced the “Lakshya GPAT Test Series” for second-year students and “Target GPAT Test Series” for third and final-year
students. Conducted on www.gpatstudycircle.com, this initiative is aimed at helping students
set realistic goals and guiding them towards success in GPAT and other national
exams.
