Anti-Ragging Awareness Program

The Anti-Ragging Cell conducted an awareness program for B. Pharmacy students on 12th August 2025. Dr. Pratibha R. Girbane highlighted the definition, types, legal consequences, preventive measures, and institutional roles against ragging. The session included UGC/AICTE guidelines, helpline numbers, and online reporting methods. Students were informed about zero-tolerance policies, mental well-being, and creating a harassment-free campus. The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks and National Anthem.

Speak Up, Stay Strong: Awareness for Women’s Safety

The WICC & Gender Equity Cell organized “Speak Up, Stay Strong” on 19th September 2025 at the college Seminar Hall, supported by Damini Pathak and Vega Sports Academy. Chief Guest Mrs. Nirmala Nimbhore and team guided students on police safety mechanisms, women’s rights, and self-defence techniques. The session focused on motivating students to speak up against harassment, building confidence, and creating a safe campus environment. Participants learned basic self-defence skills, gained awareness of legal and safety measures, and developed a sense of security and empowerment. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks and National Anthem.

Self-Defence Training Program for Women’s Safety and Empowerment

The WICC & Gender Equity Cell, in collaboration with Vega Sports Academy, conducted a Self-Defence Training Program on 19th September 2025. Led by Mrs. Priyanka Sarnaik (3rd Dan Black Belt) and Ms. Sayali Kharat (Shodan Black Belt), the session taught practical self-defence techniques, situational awareness, and breathing exercises. Participants actively engaged in interactive drills and Q&A sessions, enhancing confidence, mental strength, and personal safety. The program promoted a secure and supportive campus environment and concluded with appreciation for the trainers’ contribution.

CESE Workshop on Soft Skills for Pharmacy Students 16/10/2024

On
16th October 2024, the Students and Staff Development Cell of Yash
Institute of Pharmacy will organize a CESE Workshop on Soft Skills for
Pharmacy Students
at the seminar hall from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The
workshop aims to equip final-year B. Pharmacy students with essential soft
skills to excel in their personal and professional lives. Ms. Pooja A. Karpe,
Assistant Professor at Yash Institute of Pharmacy, will lead the session,
sharing her expertise on critical topics, including communication skills, empathy,
emotional intelligence (EQ), teamwork, time management, professionalism,
cultural competency, stress management, and customer service. This interactive
workshop aligns with the CESE course’s objective to foster well-rounded
development, enhancing students’ adaptability, leadership qualities, and
problem-solving abilities. Attendees will gain practical insights into managing
diverse professional challenges, preparing them for successful careers in the
pharmacy field.

CESE Seminar on Sensitization Course on the Indian Constitution: Rights, Duties, and Responsibilities on 15/09/2024

On 15th October 2024, the Students and Staff Development Cell of Yash Institute of Pharmacy will conduct a CESE Seminar on Sensitization Course on the Indian Constitution: Rights, Duties, and Responsibilities at the institute’s seminar hall from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The event aims to provide participants with insights into the duties, rights, and responsibilities outlined in the Indian Constitution, fostering a deeper understanding among students and staff. The seminar will feature Ms. Dipali M. Kulkarni, Assistant Professor at Yash Institute of Pharmacy, as the keynote speaker, chosen for her expertise in constitutional topics. Attended by third-year B. Pharmacy students, along with teaching and non-teaching staff, the session is expected to offer a thought-provoking discussion on the importance of civic duties and constitutional values. This event aligns with the CESE course’s objective to enhance awareness and responsibility towards the principles that underpin India’s democracy.

Full day Self defence Training program for Women 06/09/2024

On 6th September 2024, a full-day self-defence training program for women was organized at Yash Institute of Pharmacy, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The program, which ran from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, aimed to empower female students and staff with practical self-defence techniques and enhance their awareness of personal safety. The day began with an inaugural session where the Principal of Yash Institute of Pharmacy welcomed all participants and emphasized the importance of self-defence skills for women in today’s world. Participants practiced the techniques in pairs, with the trainer providing hands-on guidance to ensure proper execution and effectiveness. In the afternoon, the focus shifted to more advanced self-defence strategies, including the use of everyday objects (like bags, keys, and scarves) for protection. After the practical sessions, the trainer held an interactive Q&A session, where participants asked questions about self-defence techniques, legal aspects of self-defence, and personal safety tips. The session was highly informative and helped clarify doubts. The full-day self-defence program was a resounding success, with participants leaving empowered and more confident in their ability to protect themselves.

Tai chi Self Defence Training Program 28/08/2024

A Tai Chi Training Program was successfully conducted on 28th August 2024, featuring two distinguished guest speakers: Dr. Manoj Wadaskar, a renowned health expert, and Mr. Pawan Dabhade, a skilled Tai Chi practitioner and instructor. The event aimed to promote the physical and mental health benefits of Tai Chi and introduce participants to its practice. Mr. Pawan Dabhade began the program with an introduction to Tai Chi, explaining its origins, principles, and the profound impact it has on overall health and wellness. Dr. Manoj Wadaskar shared his expertise on the health benefits of Tai Chi. He discussed how this ancient practice improves cardiovascular health, reduces stress, enhances mental clarity, and promotes longevity. Dr. Wadaskar also emphasized the value of Tai Chi for individuals of all ages, especially in managing chronic conditions like hypertension and arthritis. Overall, the Tai Chi training program provided a well-rounded understanding of this gentle martial art, offering both theoretical knowledge and practical experience to the participants.

Anti-ragging awareness program 12/08/2024

The National Anti-Ragging Day was observed on 12th August 2024 at Yash Institute of Pharmacy, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, to raise awareness about the dangers of ragging and promote a safe and healthy campus environment. The event emphasized the institute’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and encouraged students to actively take part in creating a respectful and supportive community. The celebration commenced with an opening address by the Principal, who stressed the importance of creating a ragging-free atmosphere on campus. He reiterated the institute’s commitment to student safety and well-being, emphasizing that ragging is a serious offense with strict legal consequences. All students took an anti-ragging pledge to uphold values of mutual respect and kindness and ensure a welcoming environment for their peers. The National Anti-Ragging Day celebration at Yash Institute of Pharmacy was a success, fostering awareness, responsibility, and unity among the students to eliminate ragging from educational institutions.

A Guest lecture on International Women’s Day 07/03/2024

In celebration of International Women’s Day, a special guest lecture was organized on 7th March 2024, featuring Adv. Sangeeta Tambat Dhumal, a renowned lawyer and women’s rights advocate. The event aimed to highlight the importance of gender equality and empower women through knowledge of their legal rights. Adv. Sangeeta Tambat Dhumal emphasized the importance of knowing and exercising one’s legal rights, especially in matters related to domestic violence, workplace harassment, and property rights. She also provided insights into key laws designed to protect and empower women in India. After the lecture, an interactive Q&A session allowed attendees to ask questions regarding legal issues women face in daily life. Adv. Dhumal provided practical advice on legal recourse and how women can seek justice through the legal system.

One week Self defence Training program 25/10/23 to 1/11/23

A one-week self-defense training program was successfully conducted from 25th October 2023 to 1st November 2023 at the Police Commissionerate, Damini Pathak initiative. The program aimed to empower individuals, especially women, with basic self-defense skills to protect themselves in various situations. The sessions were led by experienced martial arts trainers, Ms. Mayuri Chayal and Mr. Rameshwar Chayal, both of whom have extensive experience in teaching self-defense techniques. Participants expressed high satisfaction with the program, praising the hands-on approach and the instructors’ expertise. Many highlighted that the training boosted their confidence in handling dangerous situations. The Damini Pathak initiative, under the guidance of the Police Commissionerate, continues to play a pivotal role in promoting safety and self-defense for the community.

One day Self defense program for Women  11/10/2023

A Self-Defense Program for Women was conducted at Yash Institute of Pharmacy on 11th October 2023. The event was organized to empower women with basic self-defense techniques and awareness about personal safety. It featured a series of interactive sessions led by experts in self-defense, law enforcement, and public safety. Damini Pathak (Representative from the Police Commissionerate) shared her expertise on women’s safety laws, the importance of reporting crimes, and how women can reach out to law enforcement for help. An expert in martial arts and physical training, Mr. Rameshwar Chayal conducted a demonstration of basic self-defense techniques, including how to escape holds and how to use everyday objects for protection. His session focused on practical, easy-to-learn moves that could be used in real-life scenarios.

Awareness program on Gender sensitization and cyber Security 14/09/2023

An awareness program on Gender Sensitization and Cyber Security was conducted at Yash Institute of Pharmacy on 14th September 2023. The event aimed to promote gender equality and create awareness about the importance of online safety. It featured prominent guest speakers who shared valuable insights on both subjects. Damini Pathak conducted a session on gender sensitization, focusing on the significance of understanding gender equality and addressing gender biases in daily life. She discussed how fostering respect for all genders can contribute to a healthier and more equitable society, particularly in educational settings. She discussed privacy settings, safe browsing habits, and the need to avoid sharing sensitive personal information on social media platforms.

IC 24101-Sensitization Course on the Indian Constitution: Rights, Duties and Responsibilities

 

Blended learning course on “IC 24101-Sensitization Course on the Indian Constitution: Rights, Duties and Responsibilities” was administered in blended mode (online + Offline) through https://mintedutech.com platform. This course was conducted under MoU with Mintbotics Edutech Pvt. Ltd. \On 04/11/2023, the participants were introduced to the platform and online course completion methodology. The participants were mentored by Mrs. D. M. Kulkarni regarding course content and
quiz preparation. The students then continued with the course completion for
next one month using the online platform. Upon successful completion of the
course and quizzes, the participants were awarded certificates.

National Anti-Ragging Day 12/08/2023

The National Anti-Ragging Awareness Program was successfully organized at Yash Institute of Pharmacy on 12th August 2023. The event aimed to raise awareness about the grave issue of ragging in educational institutions and to promote a safer and more respectful environment for students. Speaker Advocate Shivam Bharuka A well-known legal expert in anti-ragging laws, Advocate Bharuka delivered an insightful session on the legal framework surrounding ragging in India. He explained the provisions of the Anti-Ragging Act and the role of educational institutions in preventing such incidents. Speaker Anushka Pande A motivational speaker and social worker, Anushka Pande spoke about the psychological effects of ragging on students. She emphasized the importance of mental health and shared ways students can support each other and promote an inclusive culture on campus.
