Healthcare Awareness and Student Interaction activity was organized at Z.P.
School, Golwadi by the NSS committee of Yash Institute of Pharmacy. The event
aimed to educate school students about various aspects of healthcare, including
personal hygiene, common diseases, and preventive measures. Pharmacy students
from Yash Institute of Pharmacy actively engaged with the students of Z.P.
School Golwadi through interactive sessions, presentations, and demonstrations.
The activity commenced with an introductory session where the objectives and
agenda were outlined. Following this, various healthcare-related topics were
discussed, such as the importance of handwashing, oral hygiene practices,
vaccination, and basic first aid. Practical demonstrations were conducted to
illustrate proper handwashing techniques and dental care practices.
Additionally, informative posters and visual aids were used to enhance
understanding and retention among the school students, ensuring that complex
health concepts were made accessible.

The Village and School Cleaning Activities were organized by the
NSS committee of Yash Institute of Pharmacy with the aim of fostering
environmental conservation and promoting cleanliness within the community. The
event involved cleaning and beautification efforts at both the village and the
premises of a local school. The activity began with an orientation session
where participants were briefed on the objectives and significance of the
cleaning initiative. Teams comprising students and faculty members were formed
and assigned specific areas for cleaning. The cleaning activities included the
removal of litter and debris, sweeping roads and pathways, clearing drainage
channels, and beautifying public spaces through tree and flower planting.
Participants were equipped with cleaning tools such as brooms, gloves, and
garbage bags to carry out the tasks efficiently. Alongside the physical
cleaning, awareness sessions on waste management, recycling, and sustainable
practices were conducted to educate participants on the importance of
environmental conservation. The event concluded with a debriefing session,
during which participants reflected on their experiences and discussed
strategies for sustaining cleanliness efforts in the community. The activity
fostered teamwork and cooperation, with all participants working together to

Health & Full Body Checkup Camp at Z.P.School with Jijamata Hospital, South City 21/03/2024
The Health & Full Body Checkup Camp was organized by the NSS committee of Yash Institute of Pharmacy in collaboration with Jijamata Hospital, South City. The camp aimed to provide comprehensive health assessments for the students and staff of Z.P. School, fostering health awareness and promoting preventive care. The event began with an introduction by Dr. Rohit Chavhan, who emphasized the importance of regular health checkups and outlined the objectives of the camp. Medical professionals from Jijamata Hospital, alongside NSS volunteers, set up various stations offering different health screenings and examinations. Blood Donation Camp With Dattaji Bhale Blood Bank (29 Blood Bags
Collection) 22/03/24
The Blood Donation Camp was organized by the NSS committee of Yash
Institute of Pharmacy in collaboration with Dattaji Bhale Blood Bank on 22nd
March 2024. The primary goal of the event was to collect blood donations to
help save lives and raise awareness about the importance of regular blood
donation. The camp commenced with an opening speech by Dr. Rohit Chavhan, who
emphasized the life-saving potential of blood donations and the significance of
such initiatives. Volunteers from Dattaji Bhale Blood Bank set up the donation
area, ensuring that all necessary medical supplies and equipment were available
for a smooth and safe donation process. Participants, including students and
faculty members, were guided through each step of the donation process, with
medical professionals providing support and answering questions. Throughout the
day, educational materials on the benefits of blood donation were distributed
to encourage ongoing participation in such initiatives.The camp successfully
collected 29 blood bags, which were later transported to Dattaji Bhale Blood
Bank for processing and distribution to hospitals and patients in need.

The event began with an introduction by Dr. Rohit Chavhan, who emphasized the importance of science education and how interactive learning can inspire curiosity and deeper understanding. Sahil Pithore, the student in charge, along with other NSS volunteers, set up science model stations in the school’s assembly hall. The demonstrations covered various fields. Students were divided into small groups to rotate through the stations, where NSS volunteers explained the models and guided hands-on activities, encouraging students to explore scientific concepts further.

Yash Institute of Pharmacy at Z.P. School on 23rd March 2024. The event aimed
to create a joyful and engaging atmosphere for the students, encouraging
physical activity, creativity, and social interaction. The event provided a
platform for students to participate in a variety of fun games and activities,
fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. The day began with a
welcoming speech by Dr. Rohit Chavhan, who highlighted the importance of play
in child development and how extracurricular activities contribute to a
well-rounded education. Sahil Pithore, the student in charge, then outlined the
day’s schedule of activities. The event also included refreshment breaks to
keep the students energized, and the highlight of the day was the gifts
distribution ceremony, where each student received educational toys,
stationery, and books as a token of appreciation. The event concluded with a
group photo session to capture the memorable moments.

The event aimed to raise awareness about the serious issue of child marriage and its detrimental effects on individuals and society through a dramatic and educational performance by first-year students. Held in the institute’s assembly hall, the performance was attended by students, faculty members, and community members. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Rohit Chavhan, who spoke about the prevalence of child marriage and the critical role of community awareness and education in combating this harmful practice. The skit was divided into several scenes, each depicting different aspects of child marriage.

The guest lecture on organ donation was conducted on the 20th of September 2023, under the aegis of the National Service Scheme (NSS) committee. The session, helmed by Dr. R.B. Chavhan, aimed to demystify organ donation and underscore its critical importance in saving lives. Dr. Chavhan commenced the lecture with an engaging introduction to organ donation, outlining its significance in modern healthcare. He detailed how organ donation works, the types of organs that can be donated, and the eligibility criteria for donors. Emphasis was placed on the fact that a single organ donor can save up to eight lives, highlighting the profound impact of this altruistic act. To provide a comprehensive understanding, the lecture included real-life case studies of individuals whose lives were transformed by organ transplants. These poignant stories illustrated the dire need for more donors and demonstrated the real-world benefits of organ donation. Dr. Chavhan also presented statistical data showing the current state of organ donation in India and globally, drawing attention to the gap between the number of patients waiting for transplants and the available donors. A significant portion of the lecture focused on dispelling common myths and misconceptions about organ donation.
