Vachan Prerna Divas observed – October 15, 2024

 

In honor of the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, one of India’s most beloved leaders and a passionate advocate for reading and writing, Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated Vachan Prerana Divas on October 15, 2024. The event was aimed at fostering a love for literature and reading among students and faculty, paying homage to Dr. Kalam’s legacy of lifelong learning. The event’s highlight was a thought-provoking speech by Dr. Satish Padame, Deputy Librarian Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University who shared insights on the role of libraries in education, the importance of cultivating reading habits, and how students can benefit from a strong literary foundation. He emphasized the transformative power of books and encouraged students to engage with literature beyond academics. In a gesture of gratitude, Principal Dr. S.S. Angadi presented Dr. Padame with a sapling and a book, symbolizing growth and the continuous pursuit of knowledge. The token of appreciation recognized Dr. Padame’s contributions to the field of library sciences and his commitment to promoting education.

Poster Competition on World Pharmacist Day 25th September, 2024

On September 25, 2024, our institution celebrated World Pharmacist Day with a vibrant poster competition themed “Pharmacists: Meeting Global Health Needs.” The evaluation of the posters took place on September 30, 2024, with esteemed judges Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi and Ms. D. M. Kulkarni assessing the creativity and relevance of the submissions. The competition showcased the talent of our students, culminating in Sejal Phonawane from the second year winning the first prize, while the second prize was awarded to both Shruti Sawane, also from the second year, and Amruta Jadhav from the final year. This event not only highlighted the critical role of pharmacists in global health but also encouraged students to engage creatively with important healthcare themes.

76th Marathwada Mukti Sangram Din, 17th September 2024

Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated the 76th Marathwada Mukti Sangram Din, commemorating the liberation of the Marathwada region from the Nizam of Hyderabad and paying tribute to the valiant freedom fighters and the women of the region. The event was marked by a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony conducted by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi, attended by faculty and students, symbolizing respect and honor for the sacrifices made during the liberation movement. This significant occasion served to remind everyone of the historical importance of the Marathwada Liberation Movement, as attendees paid their deepest respects to the martyrs and celebrated the enduring spirit of those who fought for freedom.

Teacher’s Day observed on the occasion of birth anniversary Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on 5th September 2024

Teacher’s Day was observed at Yash Institute of Pharmacy on September 5, 2024, in honor of the esteemed educator Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. This special day recognized the significant contributions of teachers in the field of education. The event was meticulously organized by Mr. Krishna Copade, General Secretary, Ms. Rutuja Sahajrao, Cultural Secretary, and Ms. Suwarna Kale, Cultural In-charge. To show appreciation, students took on teaching responsibilities, delivering lectures to junior classes from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, which added an element of fun and engagement. After the lunch break, the student council organized a program for faculty members, commencing with a welcome note by Ms. Kartiki Jadhav, followed by the pujan of Saraswati and Dr. Radhakrishnan, led by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi and other faculty members. Teachers were felicitated with handmade greetings and honored with saplings as tokens of appreciation. A memorable AV presentation featuring old photographs of the teachers was displayed, and games and an antakshari competition added to the festivities. Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the students for their efforts, emphasizing the importance of strong student-teacher relationships. The day culminated with a vote of thanks by Tushar Kshirsagar and the singing of the National Anthem, leaving everyone with cherished memories of camaraderie and celebration.

66th Foundation Day of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, on 23rd August, 2024

Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated the 66th Foundation Day of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University with great enthusiasm. University was established on this day in 1958, the university has significantly contributed to the progress of the surrounding regions, boasting around 456 affiliated colleges across Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, and Osmanabad districts. The celebrations began at 10:00 AM with a flag-hoisting ceremony led by Prof. Dr. Vandana Patil, symbolizing the institution’s dedication to its foundational values. Following the ceremony, the national anthem and university song were sung by students and faculty. The festivities then shifted to sports events aimed at promoting physical health and teamwork. The girls’ throw ball tournament was a highlight, with teams from the first, second, and third years competing fiercely, culminating in a thrilling final won by the third-year team. Concurrently, the boys’ volleyball tournament attracted a large crowd, showcasing impressive athleticism, with the final-year team emerging victorious. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the winners and acknowledging all participants, making the Foundation Day a resounding success marked by active involvement from both students and faculty.

Independence Day observed on 15th August 2024

Yash Institute of Pharmacy observed the 78th Independence Day with immense patriotism and enthusiasm, engaging students in activities honoring the sacrifices of freedom fighters and celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage. The event commenced at 8:30 AM with a gathering of students, faculty, and staff on the college grounds, where Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi unfurled the tricolor flag, followed by a collective singing of the National Anthem. The day began auspiciously with a lamp-lighting ceremony, featuring dignitaries such as Dr. V.P. Patil and Dr. G.A. Vaishnav. Achievements were recognized with certificates awarded to students who excelled in competitive exams like GPAT and NIPER, as well as a special acknowledgment of Dr. A. S. Narute for his recent book publication. The cultural segment included inspiring speeches, a solo dance, singing performances, and a skit titled “8 Ajoobe,” showcasing the diverse talents of students. Principal Angadi concluded the event with an uplifting speech, congratulating all achievers, while Vaishnavi Devatwal delivered a Vote of Thanks. Following the cultural festivities, Dr. S. S. Angadi inaugurated sports events, including a girls’ cricket match and a boys’ volleyball match, with enthusiastic participation from students across all years. The day resonated with pride, patriotism, and vibrant cultural expressions, uniting the college community in celebration.

Vachan Prerna Divas Observed- October 15, 2023

On 15th October 2015, Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated Vachan Prerna Diwas in honor of the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. The event aimed to inspire a love for reading and literature among students and faculty, highlighting the significance of books in personal development and lifelong learning. Advocate Lalit Joshi was invited as the chief guest to address the gathering. The program commenced with a warm welcome to Advocate Lalit Joshi, who engaged the audience with his thoughts on the importance of reading. He emphasized Dr. Kalam’s passion for education and knowledge, illustrating how reading can open new avenues for exploration and growth. In his inspiring speech, Advocate Joshi encouraged students to cultivate a reading habit and shared his own experiences of how literature has shaped his perspective. He stressed that reading not only enhances knowledge but also fosters creativity and critical thinking.

International Yoga Day Observed on 21st June 2024

On June 21, 2024, our institute observed “International Yoga Day” with great enthusiasm, drawing active participation from both teaching and non-teaching staff. The event commenced at 10:30 AM on the institute campus, aiming to promote the myriad benefits of yoga for physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Dr. Ashok S. Narute, HOD of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and a yoga instructor from Bhartiya Yog Sansthan, Southcity, provided an insightful introduction about the significance of the day and its global observance. Participants engaged in various yoga sessions, including asanas, pranayama, and relaxation techniques, creating a vibrant and peaceful atmosphere. The sessions were designed to accommodate all fitness levels, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. Feedback from participants highlighted the stress-reducing and flexibility-enhancing effects of yoga, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie within our institute. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their enthusiastic involvement and look forward to promoting yoga as a pathway to a healthier, more balanced lifestyle in the future.

Observed Maharashtra Din on 1st May 2024

On May 1, 2024, our institute proudly observed “Maharashtra Din” to commemorate the formation of the state of Maharashtra. The festivities began with a flag hoisting ceremony at 9:45 AM, where Dr. Vinod Udawant, the Librarian, raised the national flag, symbolizing unity and pride. The ceremony concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, fostering a sense of national and regional pride among attendees. This celebration not only honored the historical significance of Maharashtra’s formation but also instilled a deep sense of pride and belonging within our community.

Observed birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on 19th February 2024

On February 19, 2024, Yash Institute of Pharmacy observed Shivjayanti in honor of the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event featured guest speaker Mr. Balu Jadhav and included a vibrant procession with Dhol Pathak and Lezim Pahak, leading from the college entrance to the seminar hall. The celebration began with the lighting of a traditional lamp and the singing of devotional songs praising the legendary warrior king. Ms. Kartiki Jadhav and Mr. Rushikesh Shinde welcomed esteemed guests, including Mr. Jadhav and Dr. V.K. Deshmukh, Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi, and other faculty members. Mr. Shinde introduced the significance of the occasion, while Ms. Jadhav presented the guest speaker. Mr. Balu Jadhav, recognized for his expertise on Shivaji Maharaj, delivered an inspiring keynote speech, sharing insights into the king’s valor and leadership. Dr. V.K. Deshmukh emphasized the importance of remembering historical figures and their relevance today, explaining the meaning of “BHAGAWA.” Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi highlighted the Maratha Empire’s contributions to India’s cultural heritage, urging students to preserve this legacy. The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Ms. Amruta Jadhav, followed by the National Anthem, marking a memorable celebration of Shivaji Maharaj’s enduring legacy.

Observed National Voters Day  on 26th January 2024

On January 26, 2024, Yash Institute of Pharmacy proudly observed National Voters Day, highlighting the significance of democratic participation and civic responsibility among its students. The event aimed to educate and empower the college community about the electoral process and voting rights, with a special focus on maximizing enrollment for new voters. As part of the celebration, faculty members and B. Pharmacy students collectively took a voter’s pledge, reinforcing their commitment to active citizenship and encouraging greater involvement in the democratic process.

75th Republic Day Observed on 26th  January 2023

75th Republic Day of India was observed with enthusiasm at our institute on January 26th at 8:15 AM. The event commenced with the hoisting of the Indian flag by the chief guest, Dr. Sushama Vaishnav, Director of Mintbotics Pvt. Ltd. Following the flag ceremony, B. Pharm students showcased a vibrant cultural program, which included traditional dances, patriotic songs, and speeches that emphasized unity and national pride.

Principal, Dr. S. S. Angadi, welcomed the chief guest with a book as a token of appreciation and addressed the gathering, applauding the students for their impressive performances. He extended his congratulations to the faculty and staff for the recent NAAC accreditation, and acknowledged Ms. Yogita Shirsath and Ms. Reshma Patil for their patents, as well as Mr. Abhay Joshi and Mr. Kaustubh Pishorkar for their achievements in a State Level competition.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Krushna Chopde, third year. The celebration brought together students, faculty, and alumni in a spirit of pride and togetherness.

Observed World Pharmacist Day on 25th September 2023

On September 25, 2023, Yash Institute of Pharmacy observed World Pharmacist Day with a series of engaging activities aimed at recognizing the vital role of pharmacists in enhancing global health, under this year’s theme, “Pharmacy Strengthening Health Systems – Angdaan Mahadaan.” The event featured a range of competitions including a poster competition, rangoli contest, skit performances, and a door-to-door awareness campaign focused on organ donation. The day commenced with a vibrant rangoli competition, where Ms. Rutuja Swami claimed first place and Ms. Mukta Joshi was the runner-up. The afternoon session took place in the seminar hall, starting with a welcome address by Mr. Rahul Sharma and Ms. Priti Ambhore, followed by a ceremonial lamp lighting by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi and other distinguished faculty members. Participants took the Pharmacist Oath, after which twelve students showcased their creativity through handmade posters reflecting the theme, with Ms. Rutuja Sajhajrao winning the poster competition and Ms. Janhvi Dewatwal securing the runner-up position. The program included skit performances that captivated the audience, culminating in an address by Dr. Angadi, who emphasized the significance of World Pharmacist Day and encouraged organ donation. All participating students were awarded certificates and gifts, and the event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, uniting faculty and students in celebration of this important occasion.

Mukti Sangram Divas observed on 17th September 2023

On September 17, 2023, Yash Institute of Pharmacy observed the 75th Marathwada Liberation Day, honoring the freedom fighters who liberated the region from the Nizam of Hyderabad. Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi hoisted the national flag to commemorate this significant day, accompanied by staff and students. The event served as a tribute to the bravery of the Marathwada Mukti Sangram warriors and a heartfelt salute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for freedom. This celebration reinforced the importance of remembering and respecting those who fought for the region’s liberation.

Teacher’s Day Observed

On September 5, 2023, Yash Institute of Pharmacy observed Teacher’s Day in honor of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, recognizing the essential role of educators. The event was organized by General Secretary Akshay Roman, Cultural Secretary Tushar Kshirsagar, and Cultural In-charge Suwarna Kale.

In a unique initiative, ten students took on teaching responsibilities for junior classes, conducting lectures and practicals for the 3rd and 5th semesters from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. After lunch, final-year students organized a program for the faculty, featuring welcome notes by Sayli Erande and Varsha Jadhav, followed by a puja for Saraswati and Dr. Radhakrishnan by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi. Teachers were honored with saplings, and an audio-visual presentation showcased their memories. The program included games and an antakshari competition, enhancing staff camaraderie.

Principal Dr. Angadi expressed gratitude for the students’ efforts, making the day memorable and strengthening the bond between students and teachers. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

65th Foundation Day of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad on 23rd August 2023

On August 23, Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated the 65th Foundation Day of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University with great enthusiasm. Established on August 23, 1958, the university has significantly contributed to the region’s development, with around 456 affiliated colleges across Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, and Osmanabad. The celebration began at 10:00 AM with Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi hoisting the university flag, followed by a performance of the university song by third-year student Kartiki Jadhav and the national anthem. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Krushna Chopade and a tree plantation program by NSS coordinators.

77th  Independence Day Observed on 15th August 2023

On August 15, 2023, Yash Institute of Pharmacy observed the 77th Independence Day with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The campus was beautifully decorated by student council members and third-year coordinators, reflecting the pride and joy of the students and staff. This year’s excitement was heightened by the institute’s recent accreditation with a ‘B++’ Grade from NAAC.

The celebration began with Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi unfurling the tricolor flag, followed by a collective rendition of the National Anthem. In line with the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign, participants engaged in a tree plantation drive.

The cultural program featured a dance by Sakshi Tribhuvan, patriotic songs by Kartiki Jadhav, and speeches from Tushar Kshirsagar, Payal, and Dolly Salampure, emphasizing the importance of Independence Day. Additional performances included a solo dance by Mukta Joshi and a group dance led by Khushi Rajput.

Alumni Vinay Jaybhay and Akash Kere shared their experiences with the students. Principal Angadi praised the event and encouraged the use of Swadeshi products to promote national pride and economic growth. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks and refreshments for all attendees, fostering an atmosphere of unity and harmony.
