Garba and Dandiya Competition on 10th October, 2024

Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated Navaratri with a vibrant Garba and Dandiya Competition that attracted enthusiastic participation from numerous B. Pharmacy students. The event kicked off at 4:00 PM, filling the college grounds with colorful attire, rhythmic music, and an infectious spirit of celebration. Students showcased their dance talents, engaging in lively performances that highlighted the rich traditions of the festival.

The competition culminated in an awards ceremony, where the winners were announced. In the boys’ category, Dipak Salunke from the third year secured the first prize, while Siddhant Kirtak from the final year claimed the second prize. In the girls’ category, Anuja Chavan took home the first prize, with Rutuja Swami winning the second prize. The event not only provided a platform for showcasing talent but also fostered a sense of community and cultural appreciation among the students. Overall, the Garba and Dandiya Competition was a resounding success, marking a memorable celebration of Navaratri at the college.

Freshers’ Day for Direct Second Year students,  on 14th September 2024

 

The Freshers’ Day for Direct Second Year students, held on 14th September 2024, was a grand and well-organized event. The program was anchored by Sejal Phonawane and Janvi Devatwal, who introduced the occasion with great enthusiasm. The direct second-year students were felicitated in a warm ceremony, welcoming them to the campus community. Engaging games, organized by Janvi Devatwal and Samyak Dhengle, added fun and excitement to the event, helping the newcomers bond with their peers. Delicious refreshments were provided for everyone, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere throughout the day. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, delivered by Nikita Karpe and Shubhangi Lingot, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to making the day special.

Induction program for the Direct Second Year students on 14th September 2024

The Induction program for the Direct Second Year students commenced with a warm welcome by Ms. Sakshi Tribhuwan and Ms. Rutuja Sahajrao, who emphasized the significance of the journey ahead and encouraged active participation in both academic and extracurricular activities. Dignitaries then lit a ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the welcoming of knowledge, which set a positive tone for the event. Mrs. Dipali Kulkarni offered an insightful introduction to the institute, highlighting its history, achievements, and guiding vision. Following this, Ms. Sakshi and Ms. Rutuja introduced the faculty members, detailing their qualifications and expertise to familiarize students with their mentors. Principal Dr. S.S. Ganesh festival celebrated from 7th September to 17th September 2024

Ganesh Chaturthi, one of the most celebrated festivals in Maharashtra, was joyously observed at Yash Institute of Pharmacy on September 7, 2024. Students, teachers, and staff eagerly welcomed Lord Ganesha by installing an eco-friendly idol in the college premises, accompanied by the vibrant sounds of “Dhol” and “Tasha.” The atmosphere was filled with the fragrant aroma of flowers and incense, creating a peaceful and positive environment. The installation ceremony was led by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi at 1:30 PM, with the student council members taking charge of the festival’s organization and decorating the space in a Kedarnath temple theme using eco-friendly materials.

Over the next ten days, daily puja rituals were held at 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM, with students and staff gathering for aarti, prayers, and the distribution of prasad. The festivities culminated in a “Mahaprasad” bhandara on September 12, uniting students, teaching, and non-teaching staff in celebration. On September 17, the Ganesh Visarjan ceremony took place, where everyone gathered to chant religious songs and worship the idol. An eco-friendly immersion was conducted in a specially prepared pit, where a sapling was planted, underscoring the commitment to environmental safety. While the immersion brought a sense of melancholy, it also provided an opportunity for everyone to bid farewell with the heartfelt phrase, “Pudchya varshi lawkar yaa,” symbolizing hope for the return of Lord Ganesha in the coming year.

Student council and Student parliament oath ceremony on  22nd July 2024

On July 22, 2024, Yash Institute of Pharmacy hosted a celebration of Guru Purnima alongside the Student Council oath-taking ceremony, organized by third-year B. Pharm students to honor educational and leadership principles. The event welcomed esteemed dignitaries, including Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi, Dr. Vandana Patil, Dr. Gajanan Vaishnav, and Mr. Abhay Joshi, with warm introductions by Ms. Sejal Phonawane and Ms. Barwal. The Student Council serves as a vital platform for fostering leadership skills among students through active involvement in college activities. The program commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting by the dignitaries, followed by a welcome address from Khushi Rajput and Sakshi Tribhuvan, who emphasized the significance of the council and the election process. Newly elected members were awarded badges, and Principal Dr. Angadi administered the oath, instilling a sense of responsibility in the Student Council and Student Parliament members. Key positions included Mr. Krishna Chopade as General Secretary, in his speech, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead and promised to elevate the college’s stature. Dr. Angadi congratulated the members, urging them to uphold the college’s values with sincerity, teamwork, and dedication. The successful event concluded with a vote of thanks from Aditi Choundekar and a photo session with dignitaries, culminating in the singing of the National Anthem.

Farewell function for the final year B. Pharm students on 30th April 2024

On April 30, 2024, the third-year B. Pharm students organized a heartfelt farewell function for the final-year students, marking the culmination of their academic journey. The event aimed to honor the graduates and express gratitude for their contributions to the institution. It commenced with a formal welcome from Ms. Sailee Erande and Tushar Kshirsagar to esteemed guests, including Prof. V. P. Patil, In-charge Principal, and other faculty members, who lit a ceremonial lamp to signify new beginnings. The auditorium, filled with students in colorful attire, created a vibrant atmosphere. As tokens of love and remembrance, gifts were presented to the graduates, symbolizing the lasting impact they’ve had on the community. The program featured engaging cultural performances, skits, and fun games, with Mr. Ajinkya Dhingare winning a musical chairs contest. The final-year students also gifted an idol of Prabhu Shriram to express their appreciation for their teachers. A nostalgic video clip showcased cherished memories from the past four years, evoking heartfelt emotions. Interactive sessions allowed graduates to share reflections and express gratitude, while Prof. V. P. Patil delivered inspiring words on the importance of continuous learning in the pharmaceutical industry and the values of becoming a good human being. Overall, the farewell function was a poignant celebration of achievements and new beginnings, leaving the graduates with love and best wishes as they prepare to make their mark in the field of pharmacy and beyond.

Annual Social Gathering “Yashodin” and Prize Distribution Ceremony on 24th February 2024

Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated its annual social gathering, “YASHODIN 2024,” On February 24, 2024, transforming the campus into a vibrant hub of excitement and camaraderie. The event commenced at 4:00 PM with the welcoming of esteemed guests, including Chief Guest Shri Shashank Vyapari and Guest of Honor Dr. Vinayak Deshmukh, marked by a ceremonial lamp lighting. Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi delivered a warm address, acknowledging significant achievements, including the unveiling of the NAAC B++ grade. The program featured the annual report presented by Ms. Sana Shaikh, followed by motivational speeches from the dignitaries, emphasizing practical knowledge and overall student development. The highlight was the prize distribution ceremony, recognizing outstanding students, faculty, and staff. Following the formalities, the cultural segment dazzled the audience with an array of performances, including a captivating invocation dance and an impressive horror dance by the final year girls. The celebration concluded with the distribution of prizes for cultural events and a group photograph, encapsulating the spirit of unity and achievement. Ms. Sailee Erande delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and guests, and the day culminated with the National Anthem, leaving lasting memories for all attendees.

Cultural days observed

The annual cultural festival, “Yashodin 2024,” at Yash Institute of Pharmacy took place from February 19 to 23, showcasing a vibrant array of events that celebrated student talent and cultural diversity. The festival commenced with a tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, featuring Rangoli and Mehndi competitions where participants displayed artistic skills, with Nikita Shinde and Vaishnavi Mule taking the top honors. Day 2 highlighted Saree Day and Tie Day, celebrating traditional and formal attire, while Antakshari and Dumb Charades provided lively entertainment.

The third day focused on Traditional Day, featuring solo, duo, and group performances, with Sailee Erande winning for her solo act and Khushi Rajput & Sakshi Tribhuvan excelling in the duo category. Bollywood and Retro Days followed, immersing students in nostalgic performances judged by faculty members, with standout winners in both solo and group categories. The fifth day featured Twinning/Mismatch Day, fostering creativity and fun, culminating in a lively funfair that brought the college community together.

Overall, “Yashodin 2024” was a resounding success, enriching student life with creativity, teamwork, and cultural appreciation, making it a memorable celebration for all involved.

Ganesh festival celebrated from 19th September to 28th September 2023

Ganesh Chaturthi, a major festival in Maharashtra, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Yash Institute of Pharmacy on September 19, 2023. The festival honors Lord Ganesha, known as Vighanaharta, the remover of obstacles. Students, teachers, and staff welcomed an eco-friendly idol of Lord Ganesha, accompanied by the vibrant sounds of dhol and tasha, creating an atmosphere of joy and positivity.

The installation ceremony, led by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi, took place at 1:30 PM. Third-year students organized the celebration, decorating the venue with a “Chandrayaan-3” theme to honor the ISRO team, using eco-friendly materials like colored paper, flowers, and rangoli. The decoration efforts were met with appreciation from all attendees.

The festivities continued for ten days, with daily puja rituals at 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM, bringing students and staff together for aarti and the distribution of prasad. A “Mahaprasad” bhandara was held on September 25 for everyone, fostering a sense of community. Additionally, students donated food to Matoshri Vriddhashram, an old age home, on September 27.

The Ganesh Visarjan ceremony on September 28 concluded the celebrations. Attendees chanted prayers and songs before immersing the eco-friendly idol, planting a sapling in its place to promote environmental consciousness. Though the farewell was bittersweet, it reinforced the spirit of unity with the hopeful chant of “pudchya varshi lawkar yaa”

Freshers day celebration on 16th September 2023

Yash Institute of Pharmacy hosted its eagerly anticipated Freshers’ Day celebration in the seminar hall, welcoming the new batch of 2023-24. Second-year students greeted newcomers with red roses, setting a warm tone for the event.

The program commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony by Principal Dr. S.S. Angadi and faculty members. Hosted by Sakshi Tribhuwan and Kushi Rajput, the event featured the Principal’s address on balancing fun and learning in college life.

Excitement filled the air as freshers, dressed in formal attire and western outfits, introduced themselves through a ramp walk. The highlight included a Whisper Challenge for the Mr. and Ms. Fresher titles, with 15 candidates shortlisted from 76 participants. Judges Dr. Rohit Chavan and Ms. Sana Shaikh ultimately crowned Mr. Samayak and Ms. Janvi Devatwal.

The day concluded with a vibrant DJ performance and lunch, followed by a vote of thanks from Sanchit Magar, celebrating a memorable start to college life.

The five-day induction program for first-year B. Pharmacy students at Yash Institute of Pharmacy, held from September 11 to 15, 2023, provided a comprehensive orientation to the academic and institutional structure.

Day 1 began with a traditional Saraswati Poojan, followed by welcome speeches from Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi and key faculty members. They introduced students and parents to academic expectations, institute rules, and the importance of parental involvement. The day ended with an ice-breaking session to build camaraderie among students.

Day 2 included a session on academic structure and conduct by Dr. Vandana Patil, followed by a demonstration of the Vmedlife software for academic tracking. Anti-ragging policies and the Vishaka Cell were discussed, along with a tour of the laboratories for practical exposure.

Day 3 focused on examinations, mentoring, stress management, and women’s safety. Students also visited the library to understand its resources and digital tools, with emphasis on library etiquette.

Day 4 introduced bridge courses and the Training & Placement (T&P) cell. Students were also briefed on applying for scholarships and the National Service Scheme (NSS) for community involvement.

Day 5 covered career guidance and competitive exams. The Career Katta initiative was introduced to help students with skill development, while discussions on job prospects in pharmacy concluded the event. The principal congratulated students and provided guidance on balancing personal and academic life.

“Meri Maati Mera Desh” on  9th  August 2023 

Yash Institute of Pharmacy, Aurangabad had participated in nationwide campaign “ Meri Maati Mera Desh” launched on Wednesday, 9th  August 2023  to pay tribute to the “Veers” who laid their lives for the country.

All the students of B. Pharmacy, teaching and non-teaching staff members had taken the pledge of “Panch Pran” at 10:00 AM. The pledge focuses to make India a developed country, eliminates the mentality of slavery, be proud of our rich heritage, uphold unity and solidarity, fulfil duties as citizens, and respect those who protect the nation.

Student council oath ceremony

On August 7t, 2023, Yash Institute of Pharmacy hosted a formal Oath Taking Ceremony for its newly elected Student Council Members and Members of Parliament. The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony led by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi, Dr. V. P. Patil, and Dr. G. A. Vaishnav. Khushi Rajput and Sakshi Tribhuvan, second-year students, welcomed attendees and highlighted the significance of the Student Council.

The newly elected members were presented with badges and participated in an oath-taking ceremony administered by Principal Angadi. The Student Council consists of:

In the Student Parliament, Akshay Roman serves as Chief Minister. In his speech, Roman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead. Principal Angadi congratulated the members, urging them to uphold the college’s values and responsibilities.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Aditi Choundekar and the National Anthem, successfully organized by third-year B. Pharm volunteers.
