Reading Inspiration Day Celebration at Yash Institute of Pharmacy

Yash Institute of Pharmacy, Waluj, celebrated Reading Inspiration Day (Vachan Prerna Diwas) on 15th October 2025 with great enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. The event aimed to promote the habit of reading and highlight its role in knowledge enrichment and personality development.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Gajanan Vaishnav and Prof. Dipali Kulkarni, followed by poster and speech competitions. In the poster competition, Ms. Sakshi Arjunsing Chungade (Third Year) secured the first position, while  Elocution Competition were judged by Dr. G.A. Vaishnav and Ms. Sana T. Shaikh in that, Ms. Vaishnavi Kamkhar Salve and Ms. Divya Santosh Shirshath (Second Year) shared the second position, and Ms. Renuka Dnyaneshwar Somde (Second Year) stood third. In the speech competition, Ms. Payal Sanjay Sonawane (Final Year) won first place, Ms. Sakshi Arjunsing Chungade (Third Year) second, and Ms. Dhanshri Dnyanoba Wadghule (Second Year) third.

Dr. Vinod Udawant emphasized that reading is a powerful tool for personality development and success. The event was anchored by Ms. Rutuja Barwal and Ms. Nikita Karpe, with a vote of thanks by Ms. Sakshi Gajbhar.

The program was conducted successfully under the guidance of Principal Dr. Sachidanand Angadi, with congratulations extended to all participants and winners.

Garba And Dandiya Competition 2025

The Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized a vibrant Garba and Dandiya Competition on 30th September 2025 for B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy students to celebrate the spirit of Navratri and promote cultural harmony. Students participated with great enthusiasm, filling the campus with colorful traditional attire, music, and festive joy. Winners:

Pharmacist Day ( 25th September 2025)

On 25th September 2025, Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated World Pharmacists Day at 10:00 AM with the theme “Think Health, Think Pharmacist”, highlighting the essential role of pharmacists in healthcare.

The event began with a lamp lighting ceremony in the presence of Dr. Vandana Patil, Dr. Udawant, Ms. Dipali Kulkarni, and Ms. Sana Shaikh. Students participated in Poster and Rangoli Competitions to creatively express the significance of the profession.

Competition Winners:

· Poster: Winner – Nikita Karpe; Runner-up – Janvi Dewtawal

· Rangoli: Winners – Pratiksha & Shravani Wagh; Runners-up – Pallavi Shelke & Rohini Dhawle

The celebration featured cultural performances, skits, and speeches by students. Principal Dr. Angadi shared motivating insights on the pharmacist’s role, followed by certificate distribution and the Pharmacy Oath, reaffirming students’ professional commitment.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Krushna Pankade, marking a successful and inspiring celebration.

Marathwada Mukti Sangram Diwas ( 17th September 2025)

On 17th September 2025, Yash Institute of Pharmacy observed Marathwada Mukti Sangram Diwas at 10:00 AM to commemorate the 1948 liberation of the Marathwada region from Nizam rule and its integration into the Indian Union.

The event was attended by Dr. S. S. Angadi, Dr. Vandana Patil, Dr. Gajanan Vaishnav, faculty, and students. It began with a flag hoisting ceremony led by Dr. Angadi, honoring the sacrifices of the freedom fighters.

In his address, Dr. Angadi emphasized the historical significance of the movement and paid tribute to the martyrs’ courage and sacrifice, instilling a deep sense of patriotism and pride among attendees.

Teachers day 5th september

On 4th September 2025, Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated Teachers’ Day to honour the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and to appreciate the dedication of its teaching faculty. The event was attended by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi, faculty members, and enthusiastic students.

The program began with a warm welcome and lamp lighting ceremony. Second-year students presented handmade greeting cards to teachers as a heartfelt token of gratitude.

The cultural segment featured poems by Atin Pandey and Sakshi Gajbhar, reflecting on the vital role of educators. A special “Teacher for a Day” activity was held, where students conducted sessions and were evaluated by Ms. Sana Ma’am.

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration – 27th August to 6th September 2025


Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with devotion and enthusiasm from 27th August to 6th September 2025. An eco-friendly idol of Lord Ganesha (made of shadu clay) was installed at 2:00 PM by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi, accompanied by “Dhol-Tasha” and a spiritually vibrant atmosphere.

Third-year students organized the event, decorating the space with a Kedarnath temple theme using eco-friendly materials like paper, flowers, rangoli, lights, and lamps. Daily aartis were performed at 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM, followed by prasad distribution.

On 4th September, a grand Mahaprasad (bhandara) was arranged for all students and staff. The celebration concluded with an eco-friendly visarjan on 6th September, where a pit was prepared in the college for idol immersion and a sapling was planted to promote environmental care. The farewell echoed with “Pudchya Varshi Lavkar Yaa,” marking a heartfelt end to the vibrant celebration.

University Foundation Day on 23 August 2025

 Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated University Foundation Day on 23rd August 2025 at 10:00 AM with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Principal Dr. S. S. Anagadi, along with distinguished guests Dr. Vandana Patil, Dr. Vaishnav, Dr. Ashok Naurte, faculty, staff, and students. 

The cele ration began with a flag hosting ceremony by Dr. S.S. Angadi, accompanied by the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada Iniversity anthem. Dr. Angadi then delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the importamce of of the foundation day and the University’s role in advancing education and social development.

Independence Day on 15 August 2025

On 15th August 2025, Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated the 79th Independence Day at 8:00 AM with great patriotism. The flag hoisting was led by Chief Guest Subedar (Retd.) Takat Ganpati Prabhau of the Maratha Regiment Infantry, whose presence deeply inspired all attendees.

The event was graced by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi, faculty, staff, and students. A cultural program followed in the seminar hall, beginning with a lamp lighting ceremony and welcome of the Chief Guest. Students showcased patriotic dances, songs, poems, and speeches, celebrating the spirit of freedom.

Highlights included a speech by Principal Dr. Angadi and an emotional address by the Chief Guest, who also sang “Tu Mera Karm Hai”, stirring deep patriotism in the audience. Student participants were felicitated with certificates.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Krushna Pankade, group photographs, and refreshments, marking a heartfelt and memorable celebration.

Felicitation of GPAT /NIPER  Qualified Students

On 10th July 2025, Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized a Felicitation Program to honour students who qualified GPAT, NIPER, and GATE 2025. The event began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony and was graced by Dr. Subhash Devdhe Patil Sir (Founder Director), Principal Dr. S.S. Angadi Sir, senior faculty, and proud parents.

Principal Dr. Angadi welcomed the gathering and felicitated the chief guest. The highlight of the program was the honouring of qualifying students, who also shared their inspiring journeys and preparation strategies with peers.

Dr. Subhash Patil delivered a motivating address, urging students to pursue excellence. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, marking a memorable celebration of academic achievement.

Student Council Oath Ceremony on 28 July 2025

On July 28, 2025, Yash Institute of Pharmacy held its Student Council Oath Ceremony at 4:00 PM. The event was attended by Dr. S. S. Angadi, Dr. Vandana Patil, Dr. Ashok Narute, Dr. Vaishnav, Mrs. Suwarna Kale, faculty members, and students.

The ceremony began with a welcome address and traditional lamp lighting, followed by the introduction and badge distribution to the newly elected student council members. Principal Dr. Angadi administered the oath of office and later delivered an inspirational address encouraging leadership and responsibility.

The program concluded with the National Anthem and a group photograph of the student council with dignitaries and faculty.

Annual Social Gathering "YASHODIN 2025" at Yash Institute of Pharmacy (April 5, 2025)

Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated its annual social gathering, YASHODIN 2025, on April 5 with great enthusiasm. The event began at 4:00 PM and brought together students, faculty, and guests for an evening filled with cultural performances, awards, and celebration. The function commenced with a welcome song by Ms. Kartiki Jadhav, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting. Chief Guest Shri Anand Bagadiya Sr. Genral Maneger Ajanta Pharm, Mumbai and President Adv. Shri Raj Devdhe were warmly welcomed and felicitated by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi. Ms. Sakshi Tribhuwan introduced the dignitaries, while Ms. Sana Shaikh presented the annual report highlighting institutional achievements. A key moment was the announcement of the institute receiving a prestigious NAAC B++ grade. The Chief Guest encouraged students to gain practical knowledge, while the President motivated them to enhance professional and research skills. Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi highlighted student successes, research publications, and faculty patents. The prize distribution ceremony honored students, faculty, and staff for achievements in academics, research, sports, and cultural activities. Ms. Khushi Rajput delivered the vote of thanks.The evening continued with vibrant cultural performances, including Ganesh Vandana, singing, musical skits, and traditional dances. Highlights included a Marathi folk dance and a musical skit “8 Ajube” by third-year students. Refreshments were served to all.The celebration concluded with the distribution of cultural prizes, the announcement of Best Class Award (III B. Pharm), group photographs, and a final vote of thanks by Ms. Sakshi Rajput, followed by the National Anthem. It was a joyful and memorable event for all.

International Women’s Day 8 March 2025

On March 8, Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated International Women’s Day in collaboration with the Gender Equity Cell and Women’s Internal Complaint Committee. The event began at 2:00 PM and featured fun-filled activities such as musical chairs, Antakshari, and cultural performances including dance, singing, and speeches. Girls performed expressive dances celebrating womanhood, resilience, and cultural pride. Faculty members, including Mrs. Vandana Patil, Mrs. Dipali Kulkarni, and Ms. Pooja Karpe, delivered inspiring and motivational speeches, adding depth to the celebration. The event concluded with refreshments, leaving students and faculty with joyful memories of a meaningful day. 

Yash Institute of Pharmacy commemorated National Pharmacy Education Day on March 6, honoring the birth anniversary of Prof. Mahadeva Lal Schroff, widely regarded as the Father of Pharmacy Education in India. The event began at 3:00 PM, with students and faculty gathering to reflect on Prof. Schroff’s significant contributions in establishing and advancing formal pharmacy education in the country.Second-year students Nikita and Sakshi presented an overview of Prof. Schroff’s impact, highlighting his visionary role in founding institutions and setting academic standards that continue to guide the field. The program concluded with a speech by Miss Sana Shaikh, who paid tribute to Prof. Schroff’s enduring legacy and emphasized the need to uphold and build upon his foundational work in pharmacy education.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on 19th Feb 2025

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti was celebrated on 19th February 2025 at Yash Institute of Pharmacy to honor the great Maratha warrior and founder of the Maratha Empire. The event began with lamp lighting and pooja, attended by Dr. S.S. Angadi, Dr. Patil, Dr. Vaishnav, Dr. Narute, and Joshi Sir along with faculty and students.

Cultural programs followed, featuring Ganesh Vandana by Sailee Erande, speeches on Shivaji Maharaj’s leadership, and traditional dances by Aditi Choudhikar and Komal Pawer’s group.

Principal Dr. S.S. Angadi appreciated the participants and urged students to follow Shivaji Maharaj’s ideals of truth, courage, and service. The event concluded with the unveiling of a tribute banner, symbolizing maharaj’s legacy and inspiring everyone on campus.

Republic Day on 26th January 2025

 The Republic Day celebration at 8:00 AM began with the flag hoisting by Chief Guest Hon. Capt. R. C. Singh, Ex-Indian Army Officer. Faculty, staff, and students stood in reverence as the national anthem was sung. The cultural segment featured dance performances by Sakshi Tribhuvan and Rakhi, as well as patriotic songs by Kartiki Jadhav and Amrapali. Speeches by Ms. Sejal Phonawane, Ms. Nikita Dhaygude, Ms. Sakshi Chungade, and Mr. Krushna Dhudhal emphasized the significance of Republic Day. Certificates were distributed by the Chief Guest and Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and refreshments.

Yash Institute of Pharmacy observed National Voters Day to emphasize democratic participation and civic responsibility. The event aimed to educate students about the electoral process and encourage new voters to register. It began with an introduction to the significance of the day, marking the foundation of the Election Commission of India. At 2:00 PM, a pledge ceremony led by Ms. Rutuja Sahajrao, Cultural Secretary, took place, where students committed to upholding democratic values. The program successfully reinforced the importance of voter participation and student commitment to a fair electoral system.

Freshers’s Day on 18th January 2025

The Freshers’ Day event on 18th January 2025 welcomed new First Year B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy students. The celebration began with lamp lighting by Principal Dr. S.S. Angadi and faculty members. Hosted by Ms. Sejal Phonawane and Ms. Nikita Dhaygude, the day featured an introduction, ramp walk, and a Whisper Challenge. Students participated in fun activities and talent performances. After a tough competition, Vishal Kharade and Parul More were crowned Mr. and Miss Fresher. The event concluded with a DJ dance performance, lunch, and a vote of thanks by Mr. Prathamesh. The day was filled with excitement and camaraderie.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Renaming ceremony on 14th January 2025

On 14th January 2025, Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated the 31st Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Renaming Ceremony with great reverence. The event began with a flag hoisting by Dr. Gajanan Vaishnav, honoring Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy and the university’s enduring values. Faculty, B. Pharmacy, and M. Pharmacy students actively participated, reflecting their respect and dedication to the institution’s mission. Following the ceremony, a cleanliness drive was conducted at Golwadi village by the NSS Cell, promoting community service and social responsibility among students.

Anti-Tobacco awareness program conducted on 7th January 2025

The Anti-Tobacco Awareness Program on 7th January 2025 was a tremendous success, with significant participation from students and faculty alike. The session delivered a strong message about the dangers of tobacco use and motivated students to adopt healthier lifestyle choices. Through the inspiring talks by the guest speaker, Mr. Ramesh Patil, and the support of the college leadership, the program created a lasting impact on the students and reinforced the commitment of Yash Institute of pharmacy, towards fostering a tobacco-free and health-conscious campus.

Induction Program for First Year B. Pharmacy students

A three-day Induction Program was held from 19th–21st December 2024 at Yash Institute of Pharmacy to welcome first-year students. Sessions included academic orientation, Vmedulife software training, library visit, and awareness programs on women safety and cyber security. Students were introduced to faculty, institutional rules, and career opportunities. Interactive activities fostered friendship, discipline, and a sense of belonging. The Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi emphasized professional values and encouraged students to make the best use of institutional resources. Guest lectures, cultural introductions, and motivational talks created a positive learning atmosphere. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

Poster competition in “National Pharmacy Week” on 23rd November 2024

The 63rd National Pharmacy Week (17th–23rd November 2024) was celebrated at Yash Institute of Pharmacy with the theme “Think Health, Think Pharmacy.” A poster competition held on 23rd November showcased students’ creativity and understanding of pharmacy’s role in healthcare. Participants explained their posters, demonstrating strong communication and design skills. Winners—Mr. Sachin Wagh (1st) and Ms. Sejal Phonawane (2nd)—were awarded certificates and gifts. Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi appreciated the participants and emphasized pharmacists’ vital role in public health. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Rahul Sharma, followed by the National Anthem.

Constitution Day was observed on 26th November 2024 at Yash Institute of Pharmacy with a Preamble reading, highlighting the Constitution’s values and active participation by students and faculty.

Garba and Dandiya Competition on 10th October, 2024

Yash Institute
of Pharmacy celebrated Navaratri with a vibrant Garba and Dandiya Competition
that attracted enthusiastic participation from numerous B. Pharmacy students.
The event kicked off at 4:00 PM, filling the college grounds with colorful
attire, rhythmic music, and an infectious spirit of celebration. Students
showcased their dance talents, engaging in lively performances that highlighted
the rich traditions of the festival.

The
competition culminated in an awards ceremony, where the winners were announced.
In the boys’ category, Dipak Salunke from the third year secured the first
prize, while Siddhant Kirtak from the final year claimed the second prize. In
the girls’ category, Anuja Chavan took home the first prize, with Rutuja Swami
winning the second prize. The event not only provided a platform for showcasing
talent but also fostered a sense of community and cultural appreciation among
the students. Overall, the Garba and Dandiya Competition was a resounding
success, marking a memorable celebration of Navaratri at the college.

Freshers’ Day for Direct Second Year students,  on 14th September 2024

 

The Freshers’ Day for Direct Second Year students, held on 14th September 2024, was a grand and well-organized event. The program was anchored by Sejal Phonawane and Janvi Devatwal, who introduced the occasion with great enthusiasm. The direct second-year students were felicitated in a warm ceremony, welcoming them to the campus community. Engaging games, organized by Janvi Devatwal and Samyak Dhengle, added fun and excitement to the event, helping the newcomers bond with their peers. Delicious refreshments were provided for everyone, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere throughout the day. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, delivered by Nikita Karpe and Shubhangi Lingot, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to making the day special.

The Induction program for the Direct Second Year students commenced with a warm welcome by Ms. Sakshi Tribhuwan and Ms. Rutuja Sahajrao, who emphasized the significance of the journey ahead and encouraged active participation in both academic and extracurricular activities. Dignitaries then lit a ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the welcoming of knowledge, which set a positive tone for the event. Mrs. Dipali Kulkarni offered an insightful introduction to the institute, highlighting its history, achievements, and guiding vision. Following this, Ms. Sakshi and Ms. Rutuja introduced the faculty members, detailing their qualifications and expertise to familiarize students with their mentors. Principal Dr. S.S. Angadi delivered an inspiring address, urging students to embrace the challenges of the pharmacy field and strive for excellence while sharing insights into the evolving pharmaceutical landscape. Ganesh festival celebrated from 7th September to 17th September 2024

Ganesh Chaturthi, one of the most celebrated festivals in Maharashtra, was joyously observed at Yash Institute of Pharmacy on September 7, 2024. Students, teachers, and staff eagerly welcomed Lord Ganesha by installing an eco-friendly idol in the college premises, accompanied by the vibrant sounds of “Dhol” and “Tasha.” The atmosphere was filled with the fragrant aroma of flowers and incense, creating a peaceful and positive environment. The installation ceremony was led by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi at 1:30 PM, with the student council members taking charge of the festival’s organization and decorating the space in a Kedarnath temple theme using eco-friendly materials.

Over the next ten days, daily puja rituals were held at 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM, with students and staff gathering for aarti, prayers, and the distribution of prasad. The festivities culminated in a “Mahaprasad” bhandara on September 12, uniting students, teaching, and non-teaching staff in celebration. On September 17, the Ganesh Visarjan ceremony took place, where everyone gathered to chant religious songs and worship the idol. An eco-friendly immersion was conducted in a specially prepared pit, where a sapling was planted, underscoring the commitment to environmental safety. While the immersion brought a sense of melancholy, it also provided an opportunity for everyone to bid farewell with the heartfelt phrase, “Pudchya varshi lawkar yaa,” symbolizing hope for the return of Lord Ganesha in the coming year.

Student council and Student parliament oath ceremony on  22nd July 2024

On July 22, 2024, Yash Institute of Pharmacy hosted a celebration of Guru Purnima alongside the Student Council oath-taking ceremony, organized by third-year B. Pharm students to honor educational and leadership principles. The event welcomed esteemed dignitaries, including Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi, Dr. Vandana Patil, Dr. Gajanan Vaishnav, and Mr. Abhay Joshi, with warm introductions by Ms. Sejal Phonawane and Ms. Barwal. The Student Council serves as a vital platform for fostering leadership skills among students through active involvement in college activities. The program commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting by the dignitaries, followed by a welcome address from Khushi Rajput and Sakshi Tribhuvan, who emphasized the significance of the council and the election process. Newly elected members were awarded badges, and Principal Dr. Angadi administered the oath, instilling a sense of responsibility in the Student Council and Student Parliament members. Key positions included Mr. Krishna Chopade as General Secretary, in his speech, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead and promised to elevate the college’s stature. Dr. Angadi congratulated the members, urging them to uphold the college’s values with sincerity, teamwork, and dedication. The successful event concluded with a vote of thanks from Aditi Choundekar and a photo session with dignitaries, culminating in the singing of the National Anthem.

Farewell function for the final year B. Pharm students on 30th April 2024

On April 30, 2024, the third-year B. Pharm students organized a heartfelt farewell function for the final-year students, marking the culmination of their academic journey. The event aimed to honor the graduates and express gratitude for their contributions to the institution. It commenced with a formal welcome from Ms. Sailee Erande and Tushar Kshirsagar to esteemed guests, including Prof. V. P. Patil, In-charge Principal, and other faculty members, who lit a ceremonial lamp to signify new beginnings. The auditorium, filled with students in colorful attire, created a vibrant atmosphere. As tokens of love and remembrance, gifts were presented to the graduates, symbolizing the lasting impact they’ve had on the community. The program featured engaging cultural performances, skits, and fun games, with Mr. Ajinkya Dhingare winning a musical chairs contest. The final-year students also gifted an idol of Prabhu Shriram to express their appreciation for their teachers. A nostalgic video clip showcased cherished memories from the past four years, evoking heartfelt emotions. Interactive sessions allowed graduates to share reflections and express gratitude, while Prof. V. P. Patil delivered inspiring words on the importance of continuous learning in the pharmaceutical industry and the values of becoming a good human being. Overall, the farewell function was a poignant celebration of achievements and new beginnings, leaving the graduates with love and best wishes as they prepare to make their mark in the field of pharmacy and beyond.

Yash Institute of Pharmacy celebrated its
annual social gathering, “YASHODIN 2024,” On February 24, 2024,
transforming the campus into a vibrant hub of excitement and camaraderie. The
event commenced at 4:00 PM with the welcoming of esteemed guests, including
Chief Guest Shri Shashank Vyapari and Guest of Honor Dr. Vinayak Deshmukh,
marked by a ceremonial lamp lighting. Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi delivered a
warm address, acknowledging significant achievements, including the unveiling
of the NAAC B++ grade. The program featured the annual report presented by Ms.
Sana Shaikh, followed by motivational speeches from the dignitaries,
emphasizing practical knowledge and overall student development. The highlight
was the prize distribution ceremony, recognizing outstanding students, faculty,
and staff. Following the formalities, the cultural segment dazzled the audience
with an array of performances, including a captivating invocation dance and an
impressive horror dance by the final year girls. The celebration concluded with

Cultural days observed

The annual cultural festival, “Yashodin 2024,” at Yash Institute of Pharmacy took place from February 19 to 23, showcasing a vibrant array of events that celebrated student talent and cultural diversity. The festival commenced with a tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, featuring Rangoli and Mehndi competitions where participants displayed artistic skills, with Nikita Shinde and Vaishnavi Mule taking the top honors. Day 2 highlighted Saree Day and Tie Day, celebrating traditional and formal attire, while Antakshari and Dumb Charades provided lively entertainment.

The third day focused on Traditional Day, featuring solo, duo, and group performances, with Sailee Erande winning for her solo act and Khushi Rajput & Sakshi Tribhuvan excelling in the duo category. Bollywood and Retro Days followed, immersing students in nostalgic performances judged by faculty members, with standout winners in both solo and group categories. The fifth day featured Twinning/Mismatch Day, fostering creativity and fun, culminating in a lively funfair that brought the college community together.

Overall, “Yashodin 2024” was a resounding success, enriching student life with creativity, teamwork, and cultural appreciation, making it a memorable celebration for all involved.

Ganesh festival celebrated from 19th September to 28th September 2023

Ganesh Chaturthi, a major festival in Maharashtra, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Yash Institute of Pharmacy on September 19, 2023. The festival honors Lord Ganesha, known as Vighanaharta, the remover of obstacles. Students, teachers, and staff welcomed an eco-friendly idol of Lord Ganesha, accompanied by the vibrant sounds of dhol and tasha, creating an atmosphere of joy and positivity.

The installation ceremony, led by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi, took place at 1:30 PM. Third-year students organized the celebration, decorating the venue with a “Chandrayaan-3” theme to honor the ISRO team, using eco-friendly materials like colored paper, flowers, and rangoli. The decoration efforts were met with appreciation from all attendees.

The festivities continued for ten days, with daily puja rituals at 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM, bringing students and staff together for aarti and the distribution of prasad. A “Mahaprasad” bhandara was held on September 25 for everyone, fostering a sense of community. Additionally, students donated food to Matoshri Vriddhashram, an old age home, on September 27.

The Ganesh Visarjan ceremony on September 28 concluded the celebrations. Attendees chanted prayers and songs before immersing the eco-friendly idol, planting a sapling in its place to promote environmental consciousness. Though the farewell was bittersweet, it reinforced the spirit of unity with the hopeful chant of “pudchya varshi lawkar yaa”

Freshers day celebration on 16th September 2023

Yash Institute of Pharmacy hosted its eagerly anticipated Freshers’ Day celebration in the seminar hall, welcoming the new batch of 2023-24. Second-year students greeted newcomers with red roses, setting a warm tone for the event.

The program commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony by Principal Dr. S.S. Angadi and faculty members. Hosted by Sakshi Tribhuwan and Kushi Rajput, the event featured the Principal’s address on balancing fun and learning in college life.

Excitement filled the air as freshers, dressed in formal attire and western outfits, introduced themselves through a ramp walk. The highlight included a Whisper Challenge for the Mr. and Ms. Fresher titles, with 15 candidates shortlisted from 76 participants. Judges Dr. Rohit Chavan and Ms. Sana Shaikh ultimately crowned Mr. Samayak and Ms. Janvi Devatwal.

The day concluded with a vibrant DJ performance and lunch, followed by a vote of thanks from Sanchit Magar, celebrating a memorable start to college life.

The five-day induction program for first-year B. Pharmacy students at Yash Institute of Pharmacy, held from September 11 to 15, 2023, provided a comprehensive orientation to the academic and institutional structure.

Day 1 began with a traditional Saraswati Poojan, followed by welcome speeches from Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi and key faculty members. They introduced students and parents to academic expectations, institute rules, and the importance of parental involvement. The day ended with an ice-breaking session to build camaraderie among students.

Day 2 included a session on academic structure and conduct by Dr. Vandana Patil, followed by a demonstration of the Vmedlife software for academic tracking. Anti-ragging policies and the Vishaka Cell were discussed, along with a tour of the laboratories for practical exposure.

Day 3 focused on examinations, mentoring, stress management, and women’s safety. Students also visited the library to understand its resources and digital tools, with emphasis on library etiquette.

Day 4 introduced bridge courses and the Training & Placement (T&P) cell. Students were also briefed on applying for scholarships and the National Service Scheme (NSS) for community involvement.

Day 5 covered career guidance and competitive exams. The Career Katta initiative was introduced to help students with skill development, while discussions on job prospects in pharmacy concluded the event. The principal congratulated students and provided guidance on balancing personal and academic life.

“Meri Maati Mera Desh” on  9th  August 2023 

Yash Institute of Pharmacy, Aurangabad had participated in nationwide campaign “ Meri Maati Mera Desh” launched on Wednesday, 9th  August 2023  to pay tribute to the “Veers” who laid their lives for the country.

All the students of B. Pharmacy, teaching and non-teaching staff members had taken the pledge of “Panch Pran” at 10:00 AM. The pledge focuses to make India a developed country, eliminates the mentality of slavery, be proud of our rich heritage, uphold unity and solidarity, fulfil duties as citizens, and respect those who protect the nation.

Student council oath ceremony

On August 7t, 2023, Yash Institute of Pharmacy hosted a formal Oath Taking Ceremony for its newly elected Student Council Members and Members of Parliament. The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony led by Principal Dr. S. S. Angadi, Dr. V. P. Patil, and Dr. G. A. Vaishnav. Khushi Rajput and Sakshi Tribhuvan, second-year students, welcomed attendees and highlighted the significance of the Student Council.

The newly elected members were presented with badges and participated in an oath-taking ceremony administered by Principal Angadi. The Student Council consists of:

In the Student Parliament, Akshay Roman serves as Chief Minister. In his speech, Roman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead. Principal Angadi congratulated the members, urging them to uphold the college’s values and responsibilities.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Aditi Choundekar and the National Anthem, successfully organized by third-year B. Pharm volunteers.
