Eye Donation Pledge on the Occasion of Swatantryaveer V.D. Savarkar’s Punyatithi - 25/02/2025

On the solemn occasion of Swatantryaveer V.D. Savarkar’s Punyatithi, Yash Institute of Pharmacy organized an Eye Donation Pledge Program to raise awareness about the importance of eye donation. The event saw enthusiastic participation from B. Pharm and M. Pharm students.                                      The session commenced with a tribute to Swatantryaveer V.D. Savarkar, followed by an inaugural speech by Dr. Vinod Udawant, NSS Incharge, who emphasized the vital role of youth in social welfare and the impact of eye donation in restoring vision. Key topics discussed included eligibility criteria, donation procedures, myths and facts, and the societal importance of eye donation. A highlight of the program was the Eye Donation Pledge Ceremony, during which many students voluntarily pledged to donate their eyes posthumously. Pledge forms were distributed and actively filled out, reflecting strong student commitment. An interactive Q&A session addressed doubts regarding medical, legal, and religious aspects of eye donation, making the session informative and impactful.

Karnapura Cleaning Drive-08th October 2024.

The Karnapura Cleaning Drive was organized on 8th October 2024 by Yash Institute of Pharmacy with the goal of promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and community service in the Karnapura area, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. The drive engaged students and staff in collective efforts to improve public spaces, emphasizing the importance of social responsibility and environmental sustainability. A total of 38 NSS students, along with teaching staff led by Dr. Vinod Udawant, NSS Coordinator, actively
participated in the drive. The event began at 6:00 AM at the Karnapura Yatra Grounds, where volunteers were briefed about the tasks and provided with cleaning tools such as gloves, masks, and garbage bags. Teams were assigned to various areas of Karnapura, including streets, markets, and public spaces. The participants worked diligently to remove litter, clear blocked drains, and enhance the overall cleanliness of the area.

The NSS Special Camp organized by Yash Institute of Pharmacy commenced on 13th January 2025 at Golwadi village with great enthusiasm. The camp aims to instill social responsibility among students through community service. The inauguration ceremony began at 11:00 AM, with Dr. Sonali Kshirsagar, Director of NSS, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, as the Chief Guest. She delivered an inspiring speech on the role of youth in nation-building and the significance of NSS initiatives. Dr. Sachidanand Angadi, Principal, welcomed all guests and highlighted the importance of NSS in holistic education. Ms. Janvi Devatwal outlined the week-long activities, including cleanliness drives and health awareness programs. The Sarpanch of Golwadi welcomed the team and appreciated the institute's efforts in community engagement and development.
